The housing crisis in the UK will not be solved without better protections for renters

Today in Parliament the Renter’s Reform Bill had it’s Second Reading. I was in the Chamber to raise my concerns regarding the increasing numbers of Section 21 notices being handed to renters.

Almost 4 years after the Government promised to scrap Section 21 evictions in their manifesto they have now kicked it into the long grass. Instead, they say there will be a delayed implementation indefinitely to "reform" the court system- thus protecting their fellow MP landlords.
