Standing in solidarity with BFWA members at Allied Bakeries

Standing in solidarity with BFAW members and my good friend Mick Whitley MP for Birkenhead on their picket line.

I was proud to stand alongside Baker’s Food & Allied Worker’s members and my good friend Mick Whitley MP on their picket line this week at the Allied Bakeries factory.

Allied Bakeries and Associated British Foods have seen a substantial increase in their profits and instead of increasing pay for their workforce that made these profits, the company have chosen to increase their shareholders rewards.

With the cost of living crisis deepening too many workers are themselves unable to afford the price of the food they create.

Allied Bakeries and their associated partners should do the right thing and give their workforce the pay rise they deserve.
