Opening ‘The Basement’ at The Florrie

I was delighted to attend the opening of ‘The Basement’ at The Florrie a brand new space for young people in our community.

Fitted with fantastic new facilities The Basement now has a cinema room and a recording studio which will provide a safe space to harness the creativity of the young people in our area.

It was great to speak with youngsters and teachers from the local schools at the event about how they can best use these new facilities.

Finally, I would like to pay tribute to all the staff at The Florrie for bringing this idea to life and for hosting such a great event to launch this space.
