Everything you need to know ahead of the General Election

This week on the rainy steps of Downing Street the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak finally called the long-awaited General Election to take place Thursday 4th July 2024.

From Thursday 30th May 2024, Parliament will be dissolved and I will no longer be your Member of Parliament. Therefore, I will not be able to respond to policy cases and my office will only be able to pick up extremely urgent casework.

Representing you in Parliament since 2019 has been an absolute privilege and that is why I am delighted that I have been re-selected to stand as Labour’s Parliamentary Prospective Candidate for Liverpool Riverside in this upcoming election.

Due to recent boundary changes the makeup of the Liverpool Riverside constituency has changed meaning I no longer represent a number of wards in the south of the Liverpool Riverside constituency. To check if you have been affected by this please click here and enter your details.

This election is an opportunity to deliver real change for our community. The stakes could not be higher. This is our chance to build a fairer, greener Britain and put an end to the misery that the Tories have inflicted on our city and on our country.

In order to have your voice heard at this election make sure that you are registered to vote and have the appropriate voter ID. Please see below for details.
